About the Author
Lindsay Lemley
Lindsay Lemley always dreamt of writing a children’s book. But life, with its whirlwind of responsibilities, often sidetracked those childhood dreams. Then came Lester, a loveable lizard who lived on Lindsay’s porch and who captured her heart. Lester reminded Lindsay that life is too short not to chase your passions. And so, Lester the Lizard Learns to Love was born.
In Lindsay’s debut children’s book, she hopes to inspire young readers to spread love and kindness to the world, live consciously, and know that there is light at the end of any dark day.
In her free time, you can find Lindsay hiking, growing her indoor plant garden, or embarking on exciting adventures with her husband and two children.
About the Illustrator
Sandra Attema-WELTE
Sandra is a passionate children's book illustrator with a rich and varied creative background. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from Sint Lucas and another in animation from AKV St. Joost School of Arts. Years after graduating as an animator, Sandra felt like something was missing. And so, the dream of becoming a children's book illustrator was born. With her previous education, dedication, and self-taught skills, she has successfully made that dream a reality.
Sandra's life is unique. As a digital nomad, she travels full-time in her camper, which doubles as her studio. She loves to camp off-grid, go on hikes with her husband and dog or swim in the ocean in winter. Chasing the sun brings them through countries like Morocco, Italy, and Greece where she can find inspiration for her illustrations everywhere.
